From the Internet

Tim Tebow, quarterback for the University of
Florida, became the first sophomore in history to
win the coveted Heisman Trophy as the best
college football player in the country. With 29
passing touchdowns and 22 rushing touchdowns,
Tebow displayed the kind of versatility and
athleticism for which every football coach prays.
However, if doctors had had it their way, Tebow
wouldn't be here today, according to the
Gainesville Sun and lifenews.com.

Pam Tebow and her husband Bob were Christian
missionaries in the Philippines in 1985 and they
prayed for their child even before Pam became
pregnant. When she did, she contracted amoebic
dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused
by a parasite found in contaminated food or
drink. As a result, Pam entered into a coma.

The treatment for the medical condition required
strong medications which would cause irreversible
damage to her unborn son and leave him with
devastating disabilities. Doctors advised her to
have an abortion.

Pam Tebow refused the abortion and cited her
Christian faith as the reason for her hope that
her son would be born without the devastating
disabilities physicians predicted. She ultimately
spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed
and, eventually, gave birth to a completely
healthy baby in August 1987.

"The combination of Timmy's God-given talent,
hard work, character and leadership have made a
mark on and off the football field," said Pam.

Former New York Giant Chris Godfrey shudders to
think of the millions of Tim Tebows who aren't
here today. "You just have to wonder how many
good things did not come into our world because
of our unwillingness to say 'Yes' and to trust in
God," he said.

"Of the 49 million who never lived to realize
their potential, imagine the number of future
leaders, inventors, doctors - and, yes, even
Heisman Trophy winners - among them," said Tony
Perkins of the Family Research Council. "[We]
pray that [Tebow's story] helps persuade other
women of the inherent value of their unborn
children and the great promise that lies within."

Does GOD Have Your Best Interests In Mind?

You would probably immediately answer "YES" to
the question above, but if that is true why do we
follow him so dispassionately.
We trust him to save us but but we do not trust
him enough to lead us, the we wonder why we never
find still waters. We say HE provides for all our
needs, then we fear giving him more than our
spare change. Expecting him to glean from the the
corners of our fields like a beggar and thank us
for our charity.
We say HIS thoughts are higher than our
thoughts and that HE is all knowing and then we
follow our own counsel because we feel that HE
doesn't understand our situation or HIS word
doesn't apply because of our special
circumstances.
We become outraged because the government does
not want to display HIS word in public, yet we
spend so little time with HIS word in private.
They've outlawed prayer in school, but we've
abandoned prayer at home. A good school should
teach reading, writing and arithmetic. A good
home should teach ask, seek and knock.
This year we've heard more about Black Friday
than Thanksgiving. "Thank you, LORD. Now give me
more."
Does GOD have your best interests in mind?
Don't just answer yes, with your mouth; answer
yes, with all your heart, mind and soul.

The Miracle and the Misery

Everyone it seems wants GOD to work miracles in
their lives but no one wants to suffer through
the misery. Before almost any miracle found in
the Bible suffering occurred. Before anyone was
raised from the dead, they had to die. Before
sight was given, there was a period of blindness.
The woman suffered many years before Jesus dried
up the issue of blood. We are more than willing
to be blessed but are we willing to suffer?

I Can See My House From Here

1. When I look at the world and it's future *** I
can tell that it's dark and it's drear *** Oh,
but I have a hope **** It's the way that I
cope*** And I can see my house from
here....chorus: And isn't it clear, the time is
near, for the precious Holy One to appear... I
got a mansion so bright behind the gates of
pearly white, and I can see my house from here.
Yes I can see my house from
here._________________2. There's a peace that
passeth understanding*** We're not given to the
spirit of fear*** When this world seems so wrong,
I know where I belong and I can see my house from
here._____________________(TAG) Come up hither,
Come up hither, Those are the words I long to
hear.
I got a heavenly home, where my GOD is on the
throne. And I can see my house from here. Yes, I
can see my house from here.

The Blood

I have no reason to boast,
I'm just a sinner at most,
But my FATHER loves me and here's how I know
He sent his SON.............................
In Adam our race became lost;
and death was the terrible cost.
but what was the price JESUS paid on cross?
He shed his Blood...........................
It was the blood that gave me life,
because the life is in the blood that flowed from
the precious SON of GOD.....................
When I come to the end of my days
and I stand before the one who will judge,
If he asks me what I've got to say.
I'll plead the blood

What Must I Do?

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

"What must I do to be saved?" was the question
asked to Paul and Silas in Acts 16:30. "Believe
on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be
saved..." was the reply. Paul (by direct
inspiration of the Holy Spirit) wrote in Romans
10:9,10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.

This faith is not a mere intellectual
acknowledgement of the facts, but a life changing
faith which will transform an individual (2
Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are
passed away; behold, all things are become new),
and save him eternally (John 3:16 For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life).

Why not call in faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ
and be eternally saved (Romans 10:13 For
whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved).

Are Your Prayers Greedy?

that's greedy prayer. If it's more "Please"

God's Ironic Sense of Justice

Ever wonder if God has a sense of humor? Look at
the case of Jacob. Jacob presented himself as
his brother Esau in order to trick his father
into giving him the blessing which should have
been Esau's. Taking advantage of his father
Isaac's poor eyesight, Jacob disguised himself as
Esau and Isaac gave him the blessing meant for
Esau.

Jacob took the blessing and fled to escape Esau's
wrath ending up in the household of Laban. Jacob
fell in love with Laban's daughter, Rachel.
Jacob agreed to work for seven years for Laban in
order to receive Rachel for his wife. Taking a
page from Jacob's book, Laban veiled Rachel's
sister Leah, to trick Jacob into marrying the
wrong sister. Jacob had to work an additional 7
years to marry Rachel also.

In spite of all this duplicity, God in his
sovereignty used their actions to build the
nation of Israel. If Jacob had married Rachel
first, he would have never married Leah and would
only have had two sons. The twelve tribes would
have only been two. In addition, one of Leah's
sons, Judah, was the ancestor of Jesus. Not only
did Jacob's brand of trickery come back to bite
him, God used it to give us the Savior.
